Types of Gemstones
Three basic classifications for gemstones:
1. Precious. This includes diamonds, rubies, emeralds, and sapphires. They are rare and considered to be the most expensive, although not always the case.
2. Semi-precious. Semi-precious includes the majority of gemstones and crystals that are most commonly found and sold.
3. Organic. These gems develop from organic matter. This category includes fossils, pearls, amber, and coral.
Humans have valued gemstones since the beginning of time, long before currency was ever created.
Precious Gemstones: Diamonds, Rubies, Emeralds, and Sapphires
2. Semi-precious Gemstones: Quartz, Aventurine, Jasper, and Agate
3. Organic Gemstones: Fossils, Pearls, Amber, and Coral
Gemstones and crystals are graded depending on their hardness on “Mohs’ Scale.”
How Gemstones Work
Gemstones seek to bond and create harmony within their environment.
Some gemstones attract opportunities,
while others protect against negativity.
Grounding gemstones give guidance, inner-strength, courage, and support.
People can strengthen insight, intuition, and psychic abilities with crystals.
